What does Organic mean when describing Melvita products?

It means that the products are certified by a State approved body called ECOCERT. According to its standards, Melvita products are made without pesticides, fertilizers, antibiotics, hormones, additives, or genetic modifiers. We have also taken huge steps to protect the environment, promote sustainable farming, and do no harm to animals.

What does Natural mean when describing Melvita products?

It means that we get our ingredients from nature: herbs, nuts, roots, seeds, flowers, fruit, vegetables and pure water. We do not use synthetic chemicals including parabens, phenoxyethanol, colouring, fragrance, filter, silicone and we do not use ingrediens of animal origin.

Yes, they are just as effective as traditional beauty products. Several Melvita products have won awards in competitions against other top natural, organic, and traditional beauty products.

What are the benefits of using Natural or Organic products?

Natural products contain biodegradable and environmentally friendly raw material and leave no chemical residue on your skin or hair. Melvita also supports fair-trade and sustainable farming.

I’m pregnant, what products can I use?

As a precaution, we advise mothers to avoid using beauty products containing a large quantity of essential oils during pregnancy and breast-feeding.

Hygiene products are less concerned by this recommendation as they are rinsed off after use.

Generally speaking, Melvita care products contain few essential oils (apart from specific products for slimming, massage, legs or feet).
